A few days ago I had the privilege of being interviewed by Dan Portnoy for The Drop, a Podcast with a pretty large following. You can check out the interview here.

This is exciting stuff because this is the first foray into electronic music for the podcast. When most people think of independent music they automatically think of the singer songwriter or the stripped down sound of an indie recording, it would be great if electronic music would begin to be accepted by the indie crowd as an art form in and of itself. However, color me skeptical with a racing stripe of optimism.

I am always nervous when I go about being interviewed because I have a tendency to ramble when I am on a subject I am passionate about. I also tend to have an absolutist attitude about my opinion where I can often come off sounding like a douche. My mother assured me I sounded fine, so hopefully her rose colored mom paradigm glasses aren’t being too nice. Regardless, let me know. Hit me up at jcs@sdorchestra.com and we can have a chat or find me on Facebook. If you want to chat production or pick my brain, I am always open. I have learned more through discussing and doing production than I ever did in any class.
